I don’t feel sorry for Kanye, per se, but this one had to hurt. I mean, it’s one thing to have Pink call you a “waste of skin” (that’s deep), but it’s another thing entirely to have the POTUS call you out. Obama is, like, hero level for rappers almost everybody. Check the way the president dismisses Kanye’s VMA offense with a dirt-off-your-shoulder, “He’s a jackass” (emphasis on jackass). The president seems bemused at his own casual dismissal, as the room of pool reporters chuckles collectively. Ouch.
